I offer individual and family therapy to clients of all ages. I am particularly passionate about working with children and young people – helping them to find and express their own unique voice using play, symbol work and art. Work with adults may also invite expression using methods other than talking. Most important is making my clients feel comfortable and supported regardless of therapeutic ‘method’. Professional supervision also offered, including supervision for provisional psychologists. I am committed to providing high quality psychological service and as a registered psychologist I am accountable to the Australian Psychological Society’s Code of Ethics regarding my practice and conduct. I engage regularly in professional training and development to keep my skills current and relevant and I receive ongoing clinical supervision.

Worked for many years in health and community settings, e.g. child and youth mental health, child and family counselling, domestic violence counselling and support. Experience working with issues including trauma and abuse, separation and divorce, relationship difficulties , anxiety, depression, and developmental issues. Currently a lecturer in psychology at QUT. Have also travelled and lived overseas, giving insight into challenges of adjusting to new places, or fitting back into ‘old ones’. My original training was in CBT and this still informs my practice. However, I now tend to draw more heavily upon narrative therapy, solution-focussed approaches, ACT and Expressive Therapies in my work with clients. My main goal throughout is to work from a client-centred, strengths-based perspective.
