I provide personal, confidential and professional counselling, DBT skills training, and both personal and group psycho-education. I work from a variety of theoretical approaches, tailoring them to the needs of individual clients. I also provide supervision to counsellors and students, considering both client and counsellor issues. I am available for both business hours and after hours consultations. Rates are affordable. I provide high quality personal counselling and undergo regular professional supervision in order to maintain a high standard. I also engage in ongoing education and comply with the professional standards and ethics stipulated by the Counselling Association of South Australia. Member of the Counselling Association of S.A., Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders, and the Eating Disorders Assoc. of S.A.

I have been counselling, in one form or another, since 1978. I have extensive experience in mental health, having worked in that field since 1991. I have also assisted in the counselling education of post-graduate students at Adelaide University, and provide supervision to both students and qualified counsellors. I am also engaged in providing Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to people with eating disorders. My counselling style is person-centred, collaborative, holistic, and the therapeutic relationship between myself and clients is of great importance. I endeavour to see clients as whole and unique individuals, and to honour them as such. I am well-versed in a variety of theoretical approaches, and tailor these to the needs of individual clients. I work towards outcomes which empower clients, and promote health and growth.
