While I do also work on a short-term basis, I specialise in long-term analytic therapy where the patient/client commits to an aggreed-to number of sessions per week for an extended period of time. A particular momentum and psychological process unfolds when you attend to your psychological health in a committed, predicable, methodical and reliable way.

    Alison O'Carroll

    Psychotherapist, Psychologist

I'm a registered psychologist, and analytic psychotherapist. I help clients/patients develop a better understanding of themselves: of their thoughts, feelings, behaviour, motivations, symptoms, environmental impacts, style of relating with others; and how all of these these factors interact as a whole. I like to work beyond a narrow focus on symptom-relief, to explore and understand the multitude of ways symptoms are generated, maintained, and then replaced with healthier alternatives....
