Appointments with a psychologist generally last one hour. During the initial appointment, the psychologist develops an understanding of the concerns or focus area the client requires assistance with. In the following appointments, the psychologist and client work together on strategies to improve problem areas. Wade provides his clients with a range of strategies that aim to reduce distress and to enhance and promote emotional wellbeing.

   
Wade has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and is a member of the APS College of Clinical Psychology. He has specialist training in Schema-Focussed Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Committment Therapy. Wade lectures in psychology at Griffith University and is an Accredited Clinical Supervisor who provides supervision to students completing Clincal Psychology Masters level training. As a Clinical Psychologist, Wade specialises in the treatment and prevention of a range of psychological and general health problems affecting adults, and couples. Wade is a stong advocate of Postive Psychology with specific areas of interest including the treatment of anxiety, depression and work-related stress.

Wade is an advocate of evidence-based treatement strategies. This means that the strategies Wade suggests to clients have been validated through research to be effective.
   
Consultation Times:
Wade offers flexible appointment times that will accomodate most work schedules and lifestyles. Clients are offered a choice of day, evening, or Saturday morning appointments times.
Wade is conveniently located at the 4life Psychology Centre, situated in new offices on level one at Vitality on James Street in New Farm. Clients have the option of parking in one of the four Vitality parking bays and there is no charge for street
   
Wade Jacklin is approved by Medicare to offer the highest level of rebate available for psychology services. Under the Medicare Mental Health Scheme clients obtain a $110 refund on the $150 consultation fee.
