Well-Ordered Home
Well-Ordered Home -
Organising Techniques for Inviting Serenity Into Your Life
by Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, Ph.D.

Description

Disorganisation contributes significantly to stress, and leaves us feeling that instead of time for the important and fun things in life, there is just a never-ending pile of stuff. As an experienced housecleaner, organiser, and psychologist, Kathleen Kendall-Tackett has observed first-hand the therapeutic benefits of an organised home. She has witnessed a transformation in her clients’ ability to manage time and stress once they learn simple techniques for creating a sense of order and serenity in their homes.

About the Author

Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, Ph.D., is a health psychologist and family therapist whose work involves helping people cope with the stresses and strains of daily life. A research associate at the Family Research Laboratory and an Affiliate Research Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of New Hampshire, she is also a fellow of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Kendall-Tackett previously worked as a house cleaner and a professional home organiser. It is the combination of these experiences that led her to understand the psychological stress people experience when confronted with chronic disorganisation, and to formulate her unique insights into the simple techniques that can transform a home from a clutter zone into a clean and serene place.
