The Scarred Soul
The Scarred Soul -
Understanding and Ending Self-Inflicted Violence
by Tracy Alderman, Ph.D.

Description

The Scarred Soul explores the reasons behind the impulse to hurt oneself and shows readers how to examine its impact on their lives and take steps to overcome the psychological traps that lead to self-inflicted pain.

This book will be of great value to anyone who is inflicting violence on themselves. Equally important, Tracy Alderman teaches the rest of us - therapists, family members, and friends - how to be helpful to those who take on the task of ending the secrecy and experiencing the feelings.

The Scarred Soul will bring a sigh of relief to those seeking reasonable and logical insights and solutions to the problem of self inflicted violence.
