The Happiness Trap
The Happiness Trap -
Stop Struggling, Start Living
by Russ Harris

Description

Recent research suggests that we are caught in a hidden psychological trap: a vicious cycle, whereby the more we strive for happiness, the more we suffer in the long term. Through the use of six principles based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this book shows you how to create a rich, full and meaningful life, whilst effectively handling the pain that comes with it.

About the Author

Dr Russell Harris is both a medical practitioner and psychotherapist. After training in the UK, he migrated to Australia in 1991 and set up practice as a GP. He became increasingly interested in the psychological aspects of health, and he now regularly travels all over Australia, providing training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
