Living Without Depression & Manic Depression
Living Without Depression & Manic Depression -
A Workbook for maintaining Mood Stability
by Mary Ellen Copeland

Description

Every year depression and manic depression affect millions of people.  Fortunately, those who suffer from these disorders can improve with proper treatment.  Living Without Depression & Manic Depression gives them hope and inspiration and provides practical steps they can take to help themselves.  Its proven program is based on an extensive study of people who have been stable for over two years.

The easy-to-follow strategies show people how to take charge of their lives through self advocacy, support, and appropriate medical evaluation.  Topics include making career and lifestyle choices, minimising negative influences and resolving trauma, making the most of counselling, using peer counseling and focusing techniques, raising self-esteem, and responding to early warning signs of relapse.

About the Author

Mary Ellen Copeland, M.S., M.A., is a distinguished teacher, writer and lecturer from Battleboro, Vermont. During her own lengthy battle with severe manic depression, she discovered a lack of books and resources to help people suffering from these illnesses. In response to this need, she began her own research and study project that lead to her successful book, The Depression Workbook.
