I see people for short or long term psychotherapy depending on their needs. I see adults, couples or families. I usually assess over three weeks until we decide what is needed. I have a sleep program called Sleep Like a Baby for insomnia usually requiring up to 6 sessions (see web site link above for more information). I regularly write and publish papers on Adolescent Suicide, The Effects of birth on an infant, Marriage and Infidelity (Vogue May 2005). I regularly present papers in New Zealand and Australia.

I have been in private practice for 20 years. Prior to this I began my clinical work at a Rehab Centre. I then worked in the Cystics Fibrosis at a General Hospital followed by 2 years involvement in a residential drug program for woman and babies. I also worked for a Psychotherapy Centre in Melbourne. I have come to understand that everyone who comes to see me is suffering for many different reasons. It is my job to understand that suffering in a non critical way. As a result, clients usually come to understand and accept the various aspects of themselves and be more accepting of their vulnerability and limitations. This understanding can extend to others as well, especially partners.
