I see couples, individuals and groups usually for weekly of fortnightly sessions depending upon what is needed. Some people may need a few sessions to sort things out, others months and others still many years, Every person brings their own perspective on their difficulties. We work together to determine what is needed.
Experience   Orientation  
As an accredited mental health social worker I have more than thirty years experience first as a social worker and subsequently as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I worked for more than a decade ina federally funded relationship counselling organisation as a clinician, supervisor and finally as an educator. I have also maintained a private practice in individual and couple therapy and more recently have been working with groups. My training is founded on the idea that our thoughts and feelings are determined, in part by the unconscious. I use a combination of CBT and psychoanalytic theory as well as systems theory in my work.
