| I believe that essential ingredients for therapy and healing are time and space - I attempt to provide each of these in the room to assist in exploring patterns in your life that keep repeating - identifying these patterns so they no longer dominate and interfere in relationships. I see my role as a guide, assisting you to confront the wounds of the past with the aim of healing and personal growth. Therapy can be hard work but the insights gained from the process can provide years of enrichment. |
I currently hold registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. I endorse and uphold the ethical guidelines established by the Australian Psychological Society.
I regularly attend workshops and further training to keep my skills and knowledge of the field of therapy current.
The consulting rooms are pleasantly outfitted, with ample natural light, providing a welcoming space where people can feel comfortable and settled. I believe the therapy room must be conducive to introspection. |

| I have worked for 10 years in various services in the helping profession, of which 5 have been as a Psychologist. I worked for a time specifically with adolescents and young adults and I continue to teach counselling to graduate students. Other areas of experience incl. trauma, crisis intervention, missing persons, homelessness, mental health, unemployment, various age and developmental levels, and diverse cultural & linguistic background. |
I work predominantly from a psychodynamic perspective, believing that the past is still active and alive in the present. I adapt my approach to each client that I meet with, aiming to uphold their dignity, and utilising skills and methods that I believe would be most useful and appropriate for their situation. As mentioned above, I aim to understand as fully as possible each person I work with and then attempt to provide them with actual observations and input that can stimulate change. |
