bulletArticles & Book Reviews bulletbullet Run for Emma

Fundraiser for Advocates for Survivors of Child Abuse (ASCA)

Emma Foster was 26 years old when she took her life and died alone in her bedroom clutching her childhood teddy. For 13 years Emma had battled drug abuse, anorexia and a range of self destructive behaviours. Emma was a victim of child abuse.

ASCA's long-term strategy is to give all adult survivors of child abuse access to the services they need to facilitate their health, wellbeing and meaningful engagement within their lives. Recent studies show that skills-based programs and appropriate therapeutic intervention can significantly reduce the legacy of childhood trauma.

You can help ASCA raise much needed funds by sponsoring one of their team or by running with them in Sydney's City to Surf on 10 August.
