It's harder for guys to discuss their problems than it is for women.

A message for men,

I'm normally a happy person so when I started feeling depressed at work and unable to get excited about anything I knew something was wrong. It took me ages to see my doctor about it but I'm glad that I did. He referred me to a psychologist.

It's harder for guys to discuss their problems than it is for women. I feel so much pressure to appear as though everything is okay and that I'm okay, even when none of it is true. Having at least one person to talk to about what's really going on, made a big difference.

If ever I start to feel that awful again, I won't wait so long to get help. I recommend other guys do as I (and the father who sent in the last letter) did.

Lindsay
