I have 3 areas of specialisation:
1) Working with children, adolescents, and their families. I work with young people and their parents from within a systemic framework - acknowledging the role that all family members play in the etiology of difficulties. A large part of my work, particularly with younger children is working with parents;
2) Working with adults experiencing mood, anxiety or adjustment disorders.
3) I also specialise in psychometric assessment of children and adolescents
Personally, I strive for professional excellence as a psychologist. to ensure that this is maintained, I attend regular clinical supervision with a clinical psychologist, as well as regular peer supervision. I am also involved in continued professional development - attendance at workshops, seminars and other professional activities, reading of research, subscription to journals, and much consultation with other practitioners.

Over the past 10 years I have worked as a school counsellor. I have worked in both behavioural schools and mainstream schools and am currently the Director of Child and Adolescent Development at a large inner city school in Sydney.

I have extensive experience working with adults, specialising in the treatment of anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders.

I am the coauthor of "Parenting in Practice" a self-help book for parents.

I have also taught at the graduate & undergraduate level.
My practice primarily involves the use of evidence based treatment approaches. The main modality I operate with is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I also use other therapies - such as Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioural Activation.
Other schools have influenced my orientation - notably psychoanalytic theory.
