My work is psychoanalytically oriented which lends itself to more ongoing longer term work, but not limited to this. I will work with someone around presenting issues with the possibility of deeper longer term work if they are interested in knowing more about themselves, beyond the presenting issues.
My approach may be characterised according to the following principles:
Respecting the individuality of each client and that they will have unique and particular needs.
An individual's difficulties can not be reduced to a generic diagnosis to be treated in a generic way.
Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic
Psychoanalytic approach adapted to short, medium and long terms treatments.
Each client requires a treatment or intervention that is particular to their situation.
Clients will be afforded the opportunity to give voice to their difficulty and be listened to deeply.
From therein, if deemed appropriate and suitable a treatment will be offered. The efficacy of such treatment will be reviewed as required.
10 years experience working within community health sector - Gamblers Help Clinician & Victims of Crime. Last 3 years working in specialist mental health service (Spectrum - Personality Disorder Service) as a Senior Clinician.
Daytime and Evening appointments available
as well as Saturdays.
$145 for a 55 min consultation (Daytime)
$160 for a 55 min consultation (Evening)
