Doctor of Psychology (Counselling Psychology) - 2008
Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology - 2000
Bachelor of Arts - 1999
Australian Psychological Society

I provide counselling and clinical psychology services for adults and adolescents experiencing psychological difficulties, as well as supervision for psychologists and counsellors. I provide psychological treatment for a wide range of difficulties, including but not limited to mood, anxiety, substance use and personality difficulties. You are welcome to contact me directly, or to visit my website, to learn more about the services I provide. I am dedicated to continuing professional development. I attend consultation meetings and seminars regularly, and I read widely to ensure that my practice remains aligned with the latest developments in psychotherapy theory and research. In providing psychological services, I abide by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Code of Ethics and Charter for Clients. I am a member of a number of professional bodies, including the APS and its Colleges of Counselling and Clinical Psychology.

I have over 10 years’ experience working therapeutically with adults and adolescents across a variety of settings, including private practice, mental health, youth drug and alcohol, and university settings. In addition, I have worked for a number of years conducting research and teaching in the areas of psychotherapy, substance use and young people, and I have had my work published in international journals and books, and have presented numerous papers at national and international conferences. My approach to psychotherapy is primarily psychodynamic, supplemented by systemic family therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and specialist substance use treatment, where appropriate. Psychodynamic therapy is a form of treatment aimed both at relieving symptoms and at achieving meaningful, long-lasting change. Please see my website for a more detailed explanation of this approach.
