| One size does not fit all. Therefore, I utilise a multi-model approach to my work with clients to ensure that specific and individual needs are best met. |
I undertake continuous professional development and training to maintain and improve my skills and experience. I also receive supervision and enjoy mentoring other health care workers. |

During the past ten years, my work with traumatised and behaviourally challenged children and families has enhanced my knowledge, skills and understanding of the ways in which abuse and crisis impacts on relationships and individuals.
I developed an even greater understanding while employed by the Australian Government to assist and support people affected by natural and man made disasters, people with disabilities and their carers, and persons detained in immigration detention facilities. |
Each counselling relationship is unique and tailored to meet individual goals, needs and personality. Early sessions are aimed at defining goals of the counselling process, and building trust and understanding.
The length of a counselling relationship depends entirely on the wants and needs of the individual. Some people seek assistance around a single issue that is resolved very quickly. Others have more complex and ongoing concerns that may take longer to resolve. |
